Top Performance By A Prospect-Eligible Player Outside His Team's Top 30
Triple-A Tucson first baseman Matt Clark launched two homers and two doubles at home against Sacramento over the weekend, part of 9-for-13 showing that included two walks and a strikeout. Few Padres farmhands have raw power in equal measures as Clark (he hit 23 homers in Triple-A last year and 28 in Double-A two years ago), but even with Anthony Rizzo out of the picture, he still falls behind Yonder Alonso, Jesus Guzman and Kyle Blanks (who's out for the season) on the organization depth chart.
I know that he is a long way from getting called up, but I always like it when I get info about former tigers.

Wish e still had him. Dude would just launch some HRs and you know the new bats wouldn't have affected him much at all.

He was a lot of fun to watch, no doubt.

That 2-run HR he turned on in the top of the ninth on Sunday at Kentucky in 2008 was fricking sick.
I watch that video randomly from time to time.

We got so spoiled in 08 with him and Dean just launching them.

Think about this. This could have been your batting lineup in the 09 CWS had Clark come back. LeMahieu, Mitchell, Schimpf, Clark, Dean, Mahtook, Ochinko, Nola, Helenihi.
That would have been sick. Possibly one of the best hitting lineups LSU had ever seen.

Yea anyone in triple A is not that far away. I saw that Lemahieu and Verdugo are also doing pretty good in triple A.

He's sure gonna be sad to go from a PCL park to the cavernous petco.

It's just so tough to make it all the way up to the top in the bigs...so few spots to go around.

The only reason I say that, is because they list four guys that play his position that will probably get called up before him. Baseball America said he isn't listed as one of the clubs top 30 prospects. I'm only going on what I read.
