From staff reports
The Lake Charles Fire Department was called to a fire at Darrrell's early Sunday morning.
According to employees at the bar, the fire began after an ice machine malfunctioned. There did not seem to be any major damage from the fire but there was a considerable amount of smoke.
The fire was reported before 3 a.m. Eye witnesses said the fire department and city police were on the scene and that a portion of West College Street was closed to traffic.
Darrell's, well-known for its po' boys, is owned by Darrell Derouen.

Storage room caught fire, but not much of main part of the building. It did suffer a lot of smoke damage though. If I get a chance, I will run out there and take some pictures.

I think there is a Darrell's in Sulphur now as well. Never eaten there, but might be an option if the original is closed for a while.
