What is the hold up in signing Drew Bress

I've heard from an inside source that the hold up has to do with brees's current ownership of jimmy johns. Loomis hates mayo on his sandwiches and demands that brees remove mayo as an every sandwich ingredient but brees continues to refuse. Could just be a rumor tho so tifwiw

So it's Loomis holding this up. My point is what will change in July that's different then now. I don't understand why deal ain't done yet

Nobody knows.
They don't update us on their negotiations.

All we get are rumors, and those haven't been very meaty lately either.

Both sides are holding it up. When it gets down to the wire a deal will be made. Brees is dangling his carrot to get a few more million, and I don't blame him. He has all of the bargaining power.

The only thing the Saints has is the public. As it gets closer to the end Drew won't be able to walk in public in NO without getting hounded about accepting a contract.

Granted, a million or two less seems like little when you are looking at it from our point of view, "HEY YOU ARE MAKING TENS-OF-MILLIONS OF DOLLARS, STOP WHINING". But its still millions of dollars, a sum most of us will not see at once, ever.

You seem to know a lot about this "Pat O" guy.
