Heading to Chicago in a little over a week. Any suggestions for places to drink or eat?

I was just there.

Eat - Girl and the Goat. Maybe the best meal I've ever had. They have a good beer selection too.

Drink - Clark Street Ale House. Pretty good selection and in a convenient location. There are plenty of other great beer bars as well, but I didn't find the time to seek them out.

If you got to a Cubs game, there is a Goose Island brewpub that is worth checking out. Obviously they have all the Goose Island beers, but the food was pretty good for pub food.

Thanks. I am going to Wrigley to see the Cubs play. Might head that way a little early to check out the Goose Island Brew pub.

They make some very nice Belgium style beers, but if you are hophead, don't get too excited. I thought their IPA was meh.

Awesome. I am a hophead, but, I also love Belgium style brews. I guess I just love any beer unless it is of the domestic light style.

Get an Italian beef sandwich and have it dipped. It is like a cross between a very good French dip sandwich and a roast beef poboy. Yankees go crazy over them.
