Considered the #1 pass rusher of all time, a hall of famer, it's interesting to hear Deacon Jones's comments. Especially at the 1:16 and 1:35 marks in this video. "and that's exactly what i tried to do. With no remorse in my heart, I tried to put him in the hospital every time I tackled em"

Was thinking the same thing. How can you have a guy in the hall of fame who purposely was trying to put players in hospital?
Seriously, for all Deacon's talk and boasting, most of his plays were just hard hits and not dirty plays. For all the Saints "play for performance" incentives, the actual play was just the same, hard hitting football.
