One of my favorite Saints. #29 Sammy Knight.
Career totals: 168 starts, 9 sacks, 42 interceptions with 4 TDs and 792 tackles.
He has the most interceptions returned for a TD in Saints history (4) and he is third all time in interceptions in Saints history (28).

The best #27 to ever play for the Saints
kinda makes me sad
How about someone put these best by jersey number players onto one roster and see what we have?
A post so nice I'm using it twice: (w/ updated stats)
DEUCE
I remember watching the draft and thinking, "Didn't we just give up all of our draft picks two years ago for Ricky Williams?" I did remember Ole Miss trying to make a "22 for Hiesman" campaign for Deuce and remembered that he was their go to guy for everything. I remember not liking him much either because he was from Ole Miss, but I was going to give him a chance although I thought he would be the NFL version of Kevin Faulk (3rd down back/PR/KR). WRONG. Fast forward and he's definently one of my favorite Saints of all time.
I remember being at the game when he broke the record for most touchdowns. Awesome!
In the Louisiana Sports and Saints Hall of Fame. Was in the 2002 & 2003 Pro Bowl.

Yeah, he's fifth. I had to go back and move Colston up the list of TDs and points.
PT moved ahead of Galbeth on that list this past year.

Deuce is an alltime great example of drafting BPA over need.Just two seasons earlier a #5 overall pick (whole draft actually) was invested in RW. RW had just had a 1000yd season. Then you take another 1st Rd RB? He was just too good to pass on at #23! Who were the next 5 picks that might could have been Saints? Willie Middlebrooks, Freddie Mitchell, Jamar Fletcher, Michael Bennett, & Derrick Gibson.

I honestly looked, but couldn't find a good picture of him.
I really liked him out of Florida and thought he'd be good for us.
