For whoever was franchising it? So someone else could take it over as a Popeye's franchise?

I think it is the Stan Ware properties that are the ones with problems...

This is quite possibly the understatement of the century. Managers and cooks screaming at each other back and forth while there are customers waiting and all the workers goofing off as if no one is in there. Service was pathetic.

Would LOVE it! I'm fairly certain they discussed putting a location on 74 and Bluff Road, but they had some folks complain and it never happened.

I don't get the love for the popeye's buffet. Isn't it like 8+ dollars a head? I don't think I've ever eaten 8 dollars worth of fried chicken in one sitting... Unless it's cane's, but that's a different thread.

I hear ya, I had'nt been in probably 10 years or so, but when I was younger I could put a hurting on the Popeyes buffet. Its nothing I have the slightest interest in these days...

Popeyes service in Ascension is ten times better now than it used to be. You still have to wait sometimes, but at least the food is hot and they don't screw the order up anymore.

Yeah instead of screwing the order up they just forget about it all together. Last Sunday I went to Popeye's on Airline in Gonzales about 8pm. Originally went for some chicken but decided I wanted to give the garlic butter popcorn shrimp a try. I was the only person in the drive thru at the time I made my order. I pay the guy, he gives me my drink, and he asked me to pull forward. This kinda pisses me off when they do this anyway but no big deal, I wasn't really in a hurry. So I pull up and wait....as about 6 or 7 other cars eventually go by me after receiving their order. I'm not usually one to complain or rush people but after waiting 20 minutes I park my truck and go inside to see what the deal is. I tell them I've been waiting out front for 20 minutes for my order, only to find out they didn't even know about my order in the first place. Not one single employee in there was aware of my order. Apparently it wasn't communicated to the cooks. How that is possible with the automated system I don't know. Anyway, I wait another 10 minutes inside of the store while they actually prepared my order this time.

Lesson learned: just stick with the chicken at Popeye's even though that takes a while too sometimes.
