For chest bumping an official intentionally, but Jason Smith should be suspended for the rest of the season for bumping Blake on a fast break? According to him, Rondo was excused from bumping the official because there have been bad calls.

Nice job letting your bias show through.

don't compare the Rondo bump to the Jason Smith bump (tackle). Rondo will get a game, and that's what he deserves for doing something dumb and immature... but those two situations are nothing alike.

i hope this is a ratings ploy and not his honest biased unintelligent opinion. although, the latter is much more likely.

As a Hornets fan I can easily say that Smith deserved what he got (maybe more) but Rondo deserves some time off also.

Anyone who thinks that opinion (which wasn't a well thought out one) was because of race is just looking to start a shitstorm.

He tripped on the foot because he was walking so close behind, then he clearly stuck out his chest to bump him

no

he stumbled over a player on the floor, yes... but that didnt cause him to give the ref an obvious chest bump.

To compare it to what Jason Smith did is idiotic though.

I'm not comparing the actual acts, Jason smith deserved to be suspended for 2 games. I was comparing what the suspensions "should be" according to Screamin A. Smith

Stephen A. Smith, just like Skip Bayless, is an idiot.

I don't think either of those situations were really that bad. But his point could have been that Jason Smith was trying to actually hurt another player (I don't think he was), while Rondo was just releasing a little frustration.

Still physical contact with an official, coach, or fan will always be worse in my view.

maybe if we don't give him a standing O, Jason Smith isn't suspended?

Rondo should be suspended for the remainder of the first round. This would be his second incident with an offical in the past few months. Got suspended 2 games for throwing a ball at an offical in February and this is just as bad if not worse IMO.

dictionary definition of overreaction right here.

Maybe I just can't sympathize w/ NBA refs bc they're fricking AWFUL at their jobs.

SAS is right what Jason Smith did is infinitely worse than what Rondo did.
