Thank God our bullpen is deep because our staring pitching the last 2 series have not been as good as advertised.I realize our top 3 are very good but all 3 got shelled imo.

Gausman did not get shelled. He had unfortunate bloop hits. Eades performance was simalar. Looked to me like he got screwed with the strike zone a few times.

Nola did have a rough outing, though.

Is your point to give kudos to our bullpen or berate our starters?

If you only looked at the scoreboard, I guess you might think that

I was about to start this same tread! Starting pitching needs to get it together.

What else matters besides the score?

Gausman did not get shelled. I can think of maybe 3 or 4 balls the other night that they actually hit hard. Eades looks like he doesn't trust his stuff right now. He isn't able to put guys away and get that K.

You should watch the games next time, or if you are watching the game you should work on your understanding of the game. NONE of the starting pitchers got "shelled". Gausman especially didn't. Eades had a sub par game once again, but still didn't get beat up. Nola pitched fine for 4 innings.
