I know we won't know the true impact of this draft class until 2 or 3 years from now..but what would be your grade from first glimpse?

Ill give it a C...and that's accounting the Ingram pick from last year and the lack of a second rounder.

Doesn't feel like we got a lot of value with our picks except for maybe Nick Toon. Also felt like we could have used a cornerback and defensive end. I trust the front office and hopefully we find some udfa gems.

I honestly like all of the picks we made. I'll go with a B-.

B. I think we have some solid players. I like the Corey White pick from what I have read- smart player. Also like Toon who I think compliments nicely the type of receivers we desire.

The only thing I question is that if we could have gotten Brooks or Boykin with our 4th round hoping Toon is still there in the 5th.
We have to get some DB bodies in camp

Can't grade this class any higher than a C imo. Not a knock on the the FO, just the way the draft setup with our picks.

that's why i'm going with a C-... really, after getting the LB situation fixed and going DT first, we didn't do enough with the rest of the draft in the secondary....

yeah, White is a smart player.... i get it... if it all it took was smarts the NFL would be full of Ivy Leaguers and it ain't..... i don't really like, especially when there were better players at the same position still on the board...

I give a Pass/ Incomplete. I think they followed their BPA philosophy. I just think that there were lot of projects taken. I like the drafting of Toon. He will fill a role and push Arrington up or out.

D once again a draft with more given to offense than defense.

I too would have liked to see more defensive players taken, but it didn't happen. Oh well. I still think we picked up some solid players.

I give it a B. I too see more players that are projects, but 90% of players drafted are going to be projects. Im glad we got players who dont have any lingering injuries we will have to wait for. They have all had injuries but all seem to be healthy at this time. I think Toon and icks will be the two players to come in a contribute at their positions immediately.

Yes we drafted more O than D but I think that you have to consider that we signed 3 LBs and a DT in free agency and I won't be surprised if we sign/trade for a couple of more defenders.

don't kid yourself.... the year we won the Super Bowl our defense consistently forced turnovers and put our offense in position... they didn't have to do it all, like they do now.... and as long as the offense does have to do it all themselves, we won't win another one.... i promise you that.... look at last year... greatest offense ever... lost in the 2nd round.... year before that, #1 offense in the league, exited in the 1st round.... we have to get better on defense by either forcing more turnovers via fumbles, interceptions, or 3 and out to get back to the championship...

We will be very active in the undrafted free agent market. Knowing the Saints, we will find 1-2 diamonds in the rough. We got depth for the oline, another DT for rotation, and a #4 WR.

I'd say we did well considering no 1 or 2.

How does on grade a draft the just happened? We could have drafted 5 hall of famers, or 5 scrubs who won't be in the league in three years.

We may not have Payton, but we have the same scouts and Loomis who's opinions heavily influence the picks.
