I'm in a debate with a buddy and I can't find this online. Googled, tried to navigate NFL.com and can't find anything.

I trust someone here has an answer to this, possibly a chart with the top 10 or something.

He is claiming that LSU produces average at best players and that a lot of them bust

Redfield, Is that starters or active players on rosters? Looks more like active player numbers. I thought I remembered us having highest active player number somewhere in the 40's at some time recently.

I really don't think we have 35 current starters. According to ESPN.com, we have 41 players total. Being very generous with the "starter" designation, I counted about 24 starters.

Hoping Matt gets his shot with Petey in Seattle. That would be great to see him in playoffs.

On a different, but similar topic. The state of Louisiana has the highest number of NFL players per capita. There are 68 players from Louisiana in the NFL, that's 1 in approx 66,000 people. Texas has 180 in the league, but only 1 in 115,000 people.

I thought I read sometime last year that Hawaii and Washington, D.C. now had the most players per capita, but Louisiana is not far behind.

I love how he throws this in there...
Alabama- With how good Alabama is now, it’s surprising to not see them on this list. Reason: Coach Saban was busy pumping talent into LSU up until 2004 which is why LSU is 4th on the list and Alabama didn’t make the cut. At the rate Alabama is going at now, they’ll be climbing their way up this list over the next ten years.

They play as soft as gummy bears on the oline. Did you watch them against Texas??? As much as everyone blames the qb play on the actual qb, they forget how much they are under pressure and how unproductive they are with the rbs that have 1st day NFL talent.

They seem to pick and choose when to play defense. They gave up 50+ to Nevada the year the held Oregon to their lowest total. They really suck on the road.

They get great talent but play to much xbox 360. Tedford is soft. It baffles me why players go there.

So minus the teams with major sanctions, LSU has the most.....

When they had Aaron Rogers, he pee'd his pants in a couple of close ones.
They are good but not great, most years. Only team to give Oregon a game in the Pac 10. they faked injuries. Lost in a close one.
