shite, just a few years ago it was big news when we threw this much money at Saban
The inflation in this profession is absolutely insane. There is no way that someone who coaches football should make this much money, much less an assistant. Wow. It kind of makes me sick thinking that our dollars are really devalued when you put such things in perspective.

NFL Coaches get paid millions, college coaches should too. Its a business after all.

And yeah, Miles should probably give him part of his salary.

Ditto. In fact, they should up the ante a little more. He has helped turn LSU into D-everythingU.

I think it is a bargain as well, and would think he could demand more from LSU. To have him for another three years makes me giddy, our LBs will be monsters.

He can have a head coaching job anytime he wants. This deal means he wants to stay at LSU at least as long as Les does. `

LSU is finalizing a new contract for defensive coordinator John Chavis that would pay him an average of $1.1 million over the next three years and make him one of the highest paid assistant coaches in college football.

Why should Les give him part of his own salary? That's retarded.

Supply and demand dictates all salary's. It's called capitalism . It is what the worlds economy is built upon.

He has earned it, chavis has more experience and is the head of the defense. Hence why he makes more than the other assistants.

Chavis has stated he is happy where he's at and he does not want a head coaching gig.
