BR local talent question (basketball)

Just wondering, but have any of you seen or heard of the aau team, the Baton Rouge Rising Stars?
Had the chance to play against this team in a little round robin tournament in Denham a few weekends ago and I was amazed by the talent and heighth on this team. They had 4 guys over 6'9" and all looked to have really good potential.
One of the big men is from parkview and seemed to have alot of potential.
Anybody have info on these guys?

1) The parkview kid now plays for Louisiana Future I believe.
2) Why are they playing YBOA?
3) Who are you and why do I get his feeling every time I read your post I know you?
4) If they are really legit, they should be in Arkansas this weekend.

1. Oh ok, I didnt know the Future was still around, I played against that team like 10 yrs. ago.
2. If you're talkin about the tournament, it was just a quick one-day thing...nothin special....I think it had like 6 teams in it.
3. Parkview alum...played for BR Rhinos (AAU) 98-03.
4. This team is extremely quick and athletic....the only thing they lacked was good pg play or outside shooting. But they were dominant in the middle.

Needless to say....dont get the chance to play much anymore.....plus i was the tallest guy on the team at 6'5". We actually had one of their players on our team which saved us a bit.

1) They are Reebok Sponsored with Titus being the coach. They aren't that great though.
2) Yeah, YBOA. Used to help out over there.
3) You coach or help with YBOA or what?
4) Yeah, I am thinking a couple of their players that were good probably are playing elsewhere to sponsored teams or to teams that go to recruiting tournaments.

Nah, I wish I could help out with coaching a team, but I just dont have the time.
And I didnt think it was YBOA cuz it had some teams that were either old schoolers like my team or some guys that just got out of HS.
Chris Bass actually played on one of the teams....(wasnt that good lol).
Plaquemine had a team, and they were pretty legit. But the Rising Stars team won it all.

Oh okay, I know what you're talking about now. Denham and Walker have been doing that a lot recently. Hosting tournaments to raise money and such. A lot of these teams have un-signed seniors and older players and people who just aren't eligible to play in high school. I know the Parkview kid is playing for the Louisiana Future (saw him and them this weekend). Not sure about the other kids.
