SMG presentation to Senate Finance Committee about Hornets

Nothing extremely new or groundbreaking.
SMG (Superdome Management Group) presented to Louisiana Senate Finance this morning. The SMG representative stated “The $50 million dollar improvement to the arena will be very similar to what was done with the Superdome. The money will be used to increase revenue within the arena.” He also stated that they expect cross marketing in suites and advertising with the Arena and Dome.
It’s just nice to see the legislature begin the process to make it official.

I've heard they will, but I really hope they do a massive facelift on the outside of the Arena. That color scheme looks horrible.

I don't mind the exterior. I do hope for lights ala Superdome

Actually, that's the only thing that may be happening.
Doug Thornton already said they probably wouldn't change much of the exterior except for lights like the Superdome.

Lights yeah but not a led light show like the super dome. That wouldn't make sense to me.

I like the outside as well. I think most people who know something about architecture admire the Arena. It's very efficient, practical, and not bad looking for the paltry amount of money that was spent on it.
I wish they could enhance or spruce up some aspect of the exterior in the lines of adding a decorative flying wing" over the arena - similar to the type that was to cover part of the WWII Campus under the same overpass system.
Something along the lines of this, albeit a bit more permanant looking and contemporary looking (less of a circus tent look)... Ill work to find a better example.

I would rather them spend the majority of the money fixing up the inside b/c that is where I spend my time. I couldn't really care less about outdoor upgrades unless it consisted on a covered Beer Garden area (no more cancellations!)

I'm glad to see their are more people who like the outside. 
I'm with TatorTots on this one. Fix the inside and make the beer garden better so they won't have any cancellations.
Also I would love LED lights around the outside and chocolate fountains to stick my face inside every once in a while. Also I would like free pizza served to everyone and dancing half naked women like on Game on thrones.

The LED Lights might look good on the green tile. 
Are the screens above half court HD?? That would be a way to spend the money quick?
