What PC to purchase for SWKOR for my son

Ok guys. I ran one of their hardware programs and it says I do not have the needed speed, memory, etc on my home PC for my son to play this game. It's about time for a new home computer anyway.
I need recommendations on what to purchase or whether to have one custom built, etc. I only do financial stuff and surf the web. My son plays these games a lot.
I searched and did not find anything. I can spend up to about $1,200 (not that I really want to). Help me out on this please.

Assuming the K in SWKOR is not a misspelling, this begs me to ask how bad your computer is.
