I was 10 years old and used my hard earned grass mowing $$...Purchased from the Record Bar, I believe. I went to get the "De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da" 45 Single which was a hit at the time and ended up buying the whole album. Still love this album and still have the LP.

Good one...I got others as gifts first too, including two from an uncle: Aerosmith "Rocks" & "Toys in the Attic". Great records

I got this from Columbia House as my selection of the month after forgetting to send the stupid card back. I'm glad I screwed up because I loved that album..

I had many 78s and 45s at my disposal to listen to when I was younger, but my first actual purchase was a vinyl record - Steve Martin's King Tut. I saw him on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and was compelled to purchase it the following day with paper route money.
