There will also be a still-to-be-determined number of standing room only tickets made available when the new structure opens.

This is how we get over 100,000

glad i'm not the only one who has issues with the outside.

here's some problems i have with it

those arched windows at the top are too short and squatty looking. i also hate the enormous flat surface above them. And the corner where it meets the west deck looks to disjointed.

The glass structure baffles me. Is it only glass in that corner?

I like your outside of the stadium, but concrete like the rest of it
I like their inside better

i could have done that. It was just a quick concept that i did, and if i went back, i'd put more of a concrete looking facade on it, but keep the same forms and overall design

I would guess that is the ramp on the East upper that protrudes outward simply glassed in. The ramp on the West Upper is under the the deck itself.

Not too big of a fan either. It does look like 3 different stadiums.

I get the criticisms of the current design (although, part of me appreciates at least the attempt to give a nod to the old facade), however, I REALLY wouldn't want a brick facade.
That would be a complete incongruity to any of the old aesthetic of the stadium.

I can dig the new design and look. Hopefully that end of the stadium with that many extra people will finally be almost as loud as student section in North Endzone.

VERY same concerns. the top is silly looking. it's a poor imitation of the original. here are the two end zones side-by-side. concession stands stick out at the top. the glassed in ramp makes absolutely zero sense.

Comparison Pic

ETA: I don't come on here to complain. I actually like the recent additions unlike a lot of other people. And I was happy that there would be arches in the new design. However, the arches aren't real arches nor do they make sense with the extra 20 feet of building above it.

W were usually the last people in the whole Lower Bowl to get shade. Afternoon games may be a little more bearable now.

I'm happy they are expanding Tiger Stadium but he proposed design blows. This design is too disjointed in many places. It looks like they have taken four sections of four different stadiums and hodge podged them together. We can do better, much better.

I like the design, i doubt there will be concession stand sticking out the top. I think they noticed it sticks out and it wad intentional

If you want to look at disjointed i have always hated how they just plopped down the upper decks with zero concession to the design of the stadium they are the biggest problem ascetically

That being said i have always maintained that it is whats inside that counts, and if we add more people Tiger stadium will continue to dominate any other stadium on earth.
