Big men still out there???

Been reading and seems most of the guys ion the board are wings...who are the possibilities of big men that we could get. with the loss of hamilton we need a 6'9"-6'11" presence in the post. Is there anyone still available

Norvel Pelle, Trent was supposedly after him but last I saw LSU was not on his list.

There are some juco guys out there. I don't want to list any until I find out if LSU is actually in contact. I predict LSU will sign two posts, maybe a juco and a high school player.

I think Pelle named some top schools and LSU wasn't one of them. He doenst seem to be an option.

This is a ranking of the Top 150 junior college players. Don't take it too seriously, as it is a preseason list and has not been updated. Many of the players that are D1 transfers, like Patrick Swilling, are ranked really low or not ranked at all because they didn't play junior college ball at all last year.

One HUGE problem for SDSU. They dont have a scholarship, and do you free one up for a guy who may not qualify academically?

What about Devonta Pollard? He's from Mississippi, ranked the #22 overall prospect according to Rivals. We aren't listed at all, but being from MS you would think there would be some interest.

these things have a way of working out, and pelle is not qualified so they dont have to worry about it yet

Yes, that is what I've been saying. There are players out there, but lots of variables like academics, eligibility, talent, mutual interest, etc.
Hopefully Johnny was on a few of these at North Texas, or possibly an assistant he hires has made inroads. It's kind of late to start from scratch on a player.
