Im interested in getting a Conversion kit. Saw one from Ciener for $140 that comes with a 10 round mag. CMMG going for $180 with a 26 round mag. Anyone have any dealings with these? TIA

I personally do not own an AR at the moment and the one that I did have was in 6.8. However, I have seen many people say that they like the Ciener kit. CMMG also makes great guns so I would personally trust them too.
But don't dedicated AR .22s go for around $200? I know this is double of what you're looking at but for $200 more you can add a rifle to your collection. I imagine that it would be a bit more accurate and reliable as well.
Just my .02.

I agree that's why I haven't bought the conversion.
I am going to buy the sig 556 pistol I think.
it should compliment my colt ar nicely.

I have 2 ar's currently so one sits collecting dust. trying to go with the cheaper way of having a 22 since ammo is sooo much cheaper. I wouldnt mind having a dedicated ar in 22 but why spend the 200 or so if I already have a rifle just sitting

the best way to do it is get a dedicated 22 upper or dedicated complete rifle. as you know the .22 rounds are dirty and i would not want that dirting up my gas tube and everytning else. just more of a pain in the arse to clean the upper.
