Anybody ready to ride it out with Pearl now?

After all of this sh*t I'm like f' everybody just bring in Pearl and his damn punishments with and ride it out since it's looking like we're going to be couple years away anyway.

This coaching search is a fan's nightmare. Every day a new name is being thrown out...none of which are better than the original 2 or 3 names. But it doesn't appear that we've interviewed but 3 candidates: JJ, Coach XYZ at Atlanta, and whoever from the state of Virginia.

The fans are making this a nightmare. Every name that gets thrown out, people are like "No no no!!!! Anyone but that guy!!!"
Then when another name comes up, people bitch and say they'd rather have the other guy that they just damn near jumped off a bridge over the fact that his name was even mentioned. This board really makes LSU fans look miserable.

This isn't near as bad as the JJ/JL arguments. Not even close. And we had to deal with that shite for 2 years. This will only last a couple more weeks.
And to the OP's question, hell yes if I had the option of Pearl with no recruiting until 2014 or Tubby, give me Pearl.

I was against it at first, but now I'm like bring him on and let's start building this program. He doesn't even need to be out on the road to recruit the LA especially with CT Jr and Livingston on board. His name alone will do numbers.

Yep. I wonder how much money Alleva is throwing at these guys?
The LSU coaching gig is a long term job. I would think some of the younger guys would be interested in making LSU into a contender again. Doing that would really pad a resume.
Lets be honest, LSU has some of the best fans in college athletics. But we can go hot and we can go cold. We need a fire breathing youngster to get us hot again.
Oh yeah, I'd take Pearl too.

That's what I've been hoping for. I've supported the Anthony Evans talk, but in actuality I'm behind Drew or Pastner as well. But, If we are going to hire an older coach I would say f it and get Pearl asap.

Pearl is not worth it IMO. Not worth the negative attention, and he isn't that great of a coach. You won't build a winning program for the long term with him. If you want to win now and have the NCAA instantly breathing down your neck then go for it. If the NCAA's attention is on LSU then thats bad for all the athletics programs.

At this point I don't think most fan's expectations about the next two years have dropped anyway. They don't expect LSU to have real success next season and into the season after.

I think Pearl would be better than Tubby. So if that is the only two choices,then yeah bring on the middle aged man who likes taking his shirt off and sweating through a suit.
