most of the music in this thread gives me nightmares of a life i used to know. surprised nobody mentioned Dominator "wanna kiss myself!"

this was exciting when it first came out. now it belongs on a Jock Jams cd w/ that cursed Sandstorm track.
2 unlimited - Twilight Zone

anything with a synthesizer might as well be called techno music. all those sub-genres drive me batty. i have followed dance music for 2 decades and still can't keep up w/ all of them. wtf is Trap? nevermind, i don't want to know.

Jade 4 U - Rock to the Beat This is a bit more acid house than stright up techno, but still good. Popular in some of the N.O. clubs back then. 1989

I went to that! It actually had a much longer name. It was something vs the Vampire Stripper Sluts from Outerspace

Here's a bunch of flyers I collected from my State Palace days.

Sweet. I was pretty well known for throwing some shindigs in the mid-90s. They were all word of mouth... A team of runners would give the location once we had it organized.

The one that most everybody from the scene ended up at was a massive 36 hour event in what is now the Cotton Gin lofts back in '97. It was my last official act as a New Orleanian before deciding to stay in Dallas. I traded a princess collection rolex that some slimy guy tipped me for a fishbowl full of party favors.

Were any of y'all there?

ETA:

I used to come back to NOLA for the Caffein Afro Sheen parties. Dallas party scene was/is so much better, though.

Yes, the original Stella is a classic one! No, I don't have a breaks version of Right In The Night; only the original single I believe.

No. I pulled those off the interweb a long time ago. But do you remember this bartender from Aliens?

That dude always kept my change if I got a drink from him.

That's all I got.
