Thanks for all your questions. WE are excited about the two big announcements tonight and there is news breaking about Ricardo Gathers -- One piece of news coming out Baylor land is regarding Ricardo Gathers. I spoke with his brother this afternoon and he indicated Ricardo would not sign this week. They remain committed to the Bears but would like to see what happens with potential sanctions. With the LSU job open, I asked if they'd look at the Tigers but the timing isn't right and their preference is to wait and see what happens. As long as there are no post-season sanctions, Baylor has an excellent chance to retain his commitment. Now lets get to the questions.

That's typical of the Gathers camp. They announce they are waiting until Monday, because it's Riverside spring break and he wants to sign at school.
Then, the same day, they say they aren't signing because of Baylor sanctions. Shady mofos.

That'd be OK with me if we hire a coach who can get somebody else just as good in this class.
Except I'm not sure we'd be in a position to do that. So I'd be happy signing this guy.
And at the end of the day, it seems pretty clear Trent screwed this guy's recruitment up royally. I don't know if we should blame that on Gathers; if he liked LSU but thought Trent sucked, well - he's really not that different from most of us on that score.

Not sure we want him. Two playoff games against much smaller opponents he scored 11 points each game and was mostly a none factor. Looked really lazy and disinterested.
