Who's your darkhorse candidate?

Since we're all under complete skepticism on who the next coach will be, and the way TJ was hired (caught us by surprise)....who is your "realistic" darkhorse candidate and why?

Mine is Fred Hoiberg from Iowa State. I thought he did a really good job with leading his team in the tourney, he recruits very well (considering he gets mostly transfers and JUCO guys) and he'll be losing his best player in Royce White.

Hoiberg is an Iowa State grad. I'm not sure you could list a less likely candidate than the Mayor.

I remember him playing with KG in Minnesota. Had no idea he was coaching now.




We took Hamilton from Iowa Sate, maybe we can take their coach too.

So you're saying he's good with coaching a team that will probably never be better than 4th best in the Big 12?

Yes and i disagree that they can never be better than 4th in the big 12.

He's not just an alumni there. He's a legend. He would never leave unless he was fired, or about to be fired.
