Not one of Kentucky's starting lineup was from Kentucky.
The Wildcats also neglected to recruit any players from Louisiana.
Strange. The national champions are ignoring our talent.

Dale Brown once said, "I don't want to just beat Kentucky. I want to be KENTUCKY."

If you aspire to be the best, go where the boys are. Don't restrict yourself to one state or one region. Don't neglect Louisiana. But if you need a good point guard, and the Louisiana point guard is a step slow, signing him will not help you beat the best teams in the SEC or anywhere else.

And there's an extra benefit to that, which is that you're not beholden to, or even interested in, Collis Temple's opinion if you don't need his help to sign Top 10 classes.

Well that's our problem. Apparently Kentucky talent sucks! Teams with Kentucky players are obviously only good enough to get to the NIT.

LSU doesn't have "Worldwide" Wes and his cronies or connections on the payroll. Also doesn't have the fanbase or booster support to win at all costs that Kentucky does. That's why they have the talent they have. They recruit and have a legitimate shot with almost all of the major prospects and win a lot of the battles. If LSU wants to be Kentucky then that's what is needed. Good luck. Kentucky is not a good measuring stick or comparison for LSU. Think smaller. Much smaller like a Ga Tech, Missouri or a Michigan. Those are more realistic comparisons for what LSU can strive to be at this point. A school that can be a contender for Final 4 honors every 5-7 years but not consistently. Solid 20 win, tourney most years basketball program. Not earth shattering but reasonable and successful.

So we just need to recruit like UK to win? Why hasn't anyone else thought of this easy solution?! You're a genius!
