That was totally under control on a windy day in my buddies sailboat. I've stood on the deck of that boat and been knee deep in the water getting swept over the side clinging till the boat stands back up. I think it was that same day actually.

BIGTIME FUN hauling arse.

Heeled Over on a Starboard Tac, Close Hauled with the wind in your face. Looking at the Tell Tales and easing out the jib and holding the main sheet ready for the weather helm....Ahhhh the Life.

Looks like a good day Faxis.

It was an excellent day!
That's my buddies Chrysler 22. Herreshof design and it likes to settle into a good heel. That's a bit extreme up there in a puff but we were really hauling arse at the time.

Chrysler 22.

Small boats are hard to sail. I don't think people realize that. Big Boats are easy to sail, tricky to dock due to inertia and wind-

A cooler full of Cold Beer and Bourbon with a 15 knot wind...Nowhere to go, nowhere to be. Looks like a good day.

I bet that 22 will give you some good times in a moderate wind. Does it have reefs in the main? We were on the 1st reef last weekend. The jib is the workhorse on the 26 Catalina.

Yeah it's a single reef and it was in I believe. Here's another pic from that afternoon. You can tell the skipper is really stressed out, right?

And the jib is the workhorse on my Catalina 22 so I feel ya. That main is practically a trim tab for the headsail on that boat.
