Every single one of the Israelites is a real person. Think about that. No CGI. Thousands of extras. Amazing.

I've loved this movie since I was a kid. Sadly, though, when I watch it now, I get more of a kick out of laughing at some of the cheesy, over-the-top acting in it. Anne Baxter was simply awful.

Anne Baxter does an outstanding job in The Ten Commandments.

Anne's proformence is the glue that holds the movie together in the early middle.

But of course she is vastly over shadowed by Robinson, Heston, Yul, Anderson, Hardwicke etc.

How can she with a great proformence hang in the light of Robinson's Dathan, Heston's Moses, or Brynner's Rameses.

Even today many think of Heston's Moses, but read your Bible and you will find he wasn't like the man of the movie.

Nefretiri was put into this film as a npyh, a tempress, etc and she played that way very well.

Even the minor roles are full of very good actors and it is hard to find one spot were someone would have been better.

C.B. knew how to make movies epic, were as today Epic stories are made into bad cgi long winded scripts that have left the story in the dust for a younger age. Yes there are except like LOTR's, but those are getting far and few between.

Anne's acting is fine and would leave many of todays stars in the dust. Night and day in acting and what a role calls for between the years.

Great movie, could not be made today. Democrats would be against it, trial lawyers would sue, the EPA would sue to stop it, no permit to put water on desert, Dept. of Interior would stop it, Holder's Justice Dept., the teachers union, and the Dept.of Education would not allow the Ten Commandments to be written, read, or mentioned.

Please excuse the Georgia reference.

I've strolled through the parking lot where they actually filmed that scene.

Watched some of it and enjoyed. As a kid I was scared of Brenner's Rameses.
