Also big school with low expectations....
All the resources he needs...
Better talent pool that just needs to get locked down..

Because he had all the same things with an Illinois offer and turned it down. Illinois is a good basketball job before the conversation heads that way.

The only difference between Illinois and LSU is that he would have to walk around Chicago with bags of money for any recruit not named Jabari Parker.
Along with Detroit, one of the most corrupt scenes in any city.
Not that I think Shaka comes here.

So a guy who turns down a chance to recruit the best basketball city in America, would take a job where he gets to go scour the talents of Monroe?
He has the chance to build a better Gonzaga in talent-rich Virgina/DC/Carolina.
