15 years ago when Joe Dean dropped the ball and hired Brady, Floyd would have been the right choice.

Now...I'm thinking not so much.

Why do people love Floyd so much? I don't get it. he seems very average.

Floyd can coach and recruit.
Livingston could be an ace recruiter and be set up as an eventual replacement.

This duo would turn the program in the right direction.

He was only average at the NBA level. The dude made UNO relevant, any idea how hard that is? He turned Iowa St. around fast. He did the same at USC, but some off the court issues that were not his doing led him to resign.

What evidence do you have of this?

Pleanty of coaches have had small time teams get to the tournament for a year or 2.

They weren't that bad, and he didn't make them really that great. What were his successes there? He was lucky to have Fred Hoiberg (who he didn't have to recruit), and made 1 Sweet 16. Nothing great, IMO.

He cheated his arse off for this.

This.

Go check his record. Has won 20 games per season more often than not.

Wow, the eleventy billion people who followed your instructions and didn't respond should let you know how much LSU fans do not want Floyd as the Tiger's basketball coach.

Marcus Fizer is the only McDonald's All American to ever go to Iowa St. and Floyd recruited him there.

All the same idiots want Bruce Pearl to be the next coach.

Haha, I would get on my hands and knees and beg for Springlake Tiger and Tim Floyd to be given lifetime contracts to coach the Tigers over this.

Floyd was also responsible for landing would-be recruits, and currents pros, Nick Collison and Kirk Hinrich. Both Collison and Hinrich withdrew their verbal commitments upon Floyds departure from Iowa State.

Personally, I would like to give Butch Pierre a chance, with Randy Livingston an assistant/recruiter ace spot. But that it's just me.

And Trent Johnson got a McD AA to LSU. 1 player does not mean a guy can recruit.
