Hill was from Florida. I think the last one was Lavelle Hawkins, who lasted all of about two weeks at LSU.

L. Hawkins is the correct answer, but I think he only lasted four days before going back to Cali.
We had a committment from Cassius Marsh for a while before he decided to sign with Cal or UCLA.

My recollection is the last one to stick was Paris Hodges out of Vanden (Vacaville) HS in '02.

Both of these guys said they had family in Louisiana. Maybe Max Redfield has family in Louisiana also. A lot of black Californians have family roots in Louisiana due to the Great Migration (1940's-1970's) from Louisiana to California.

I don't believe he does but he's very interested in LSU. I think in the end he stays in the west coast but his interest in LSU is legitimate. Taahan Goodman, another DB out west that you guys offered has family in Louisiana.
