Personally, I love to rock CCR, but the only album I have is their greatest hits, which is incredible! But outside of that album, I can only identify a few songs that I jam in my car.

I've heard fans calling them the best ever, other say they have a boring playout sound. To me the are a band that I rock the greatest hits, like the dead and doors, but not impressed album to album.

Whats the TD MB say? Solid catalog from beginning to end or only flashes of greatest over several years?....FYI CCR greatest hits is one of my favorite albums.

I would agree with that 100%. But partly bc I feel most of the greateat classic rock bands came from the UK. So where would you place CCR in reference to stones, zep, Beatles, pink Floyd, etc.

I actually really like their albums (aside from greatest hits)....sometimes the greatest songs to me are album gems that never got popular.....they have lots of those.

Personally I don't care for Led Zeppelin (don't like Plant's voice) or post-Syd Barrett Pink Floyd. So obviously I much prefer CCR.

Someday never comes has been my go to as of late. Before that, I was in a green river and lodi mood. That is the greatness of the album, several songs for whatever mood.

If the remainder of their albums have that same feel, I need to pick them up.

Any suggestions on studio albums?

With the exception perhaps of Mardi Gras.

You should also check out Fogerty's solo work, both albums and concert videos. He is a very tasteful, underrated guitarist, and he looks good and moves fast for an old man. The other members of CCR were just his backing band; John Fogerty was CCR.

Surely you can pick 1 above the rest. I enjoy "new" music, but I'm not buying 5 new albums.

Bayou Country is my personal fave

CCR is one of the best American bands but not even in the rearview of The Beatles, Stones, Who, Floyd, and Zeppelin.

My favorite CCR song is on there: CCR-Born on the Bayou

My dad would be proud with that "Keep on Chooglin" signature. His favorite CCR song by far!

One of the few classic bands I never grew out of or get tired of...like Zep or the Doors.

Dylan, Fleetwood Mac and CCR I can always listen to and always enjoy.
