Anybody have one of these derringer type guns? Thought about getting one as a CC Mini-Judge. That's right they have .410/45LC barrels along with other calibers, and the barrels are interchangeable.

My buddy has one in .38 spl. Hard to hit anything past 5 yards with it. I'm sure it would work just fine for smoking somebody at too-close range.

My mom got a daringer before going to college. The flame alone coming out of that barrel when its dark is enough to deter criminals.

As far as derringers go, I get the impression it's a quality gun. OTOH, I don't think it's very practical as a self defense or concealed carry gun. Fairly big for just 2 shots; all shots are single action; from what I've read, can be a challenge handling it; lots of muzzle blast.

Buy some earplugs!
Bond makes very nice, well finished guns but my .410 derringer made my ears ring for 30 minutes first time I shot it and gave me an instant headache.
