Hope the link works. 1,000 rounds for $239.97. That's $.24 per round. Not too bad IMO. and it's free shipping for orders over $99 today. Just passing along the info. Always looking for a deal!

meh, steel case. i'm not one of those guys that refuses to shoot steel out of my AR's but I wouldn't want 1000 rounds of it.

How come, other than not being able to reload, does it damage the weapon?

Some people refuse to shoot it because it's hard on ejectors and it's dirtier. That being said, the steel the ejector is made of should always be harder than a steel case but the steel cases are harder than brass for sure. I dont care about that as much because if it were to really break an ejector, they are cheap to replace. It's dirtier for sure though. The steel cases dont expand in the chamber like brass so you end up with blowback in the bolt, etc.. Like I said, I will shoot it out of my AR's sometimes but I try to use brass more often than not.

Good to know. I didn't realize the steel cases expanded so much differently than brass. Thanks for the info.

no prob! i've also heard about the lack of expansion affecting accuracy. never really noticed that first hand though. when i shoot my AR's i'm not usually doing much precision type shooting.

That's a little steep. I bought a 1000 rounds of steel case .223 for 189.99 on another website.
