LAST MINUTE HOPE FOR BATON ROUGE ANIMALS

There are 8 german shepherd PUPPIES and several other dogs that are going to be put down tomorrow unless they are RESCUED or ADOPTED. :/ :/

Anyone interested in adopting or fostering please get in touch with the CAA shelter ASAP... and please SPREAD THE WORD so we can get these dogs adopted!!!

To see pictures of the dogs that will be PTS tomorrow scroll down on the link above and click on the picture/album that says "These dogs have until Thursday 3/29/12". Also, the shelter is located in Baton Rouge near the airport.

It's an album posted to the wall, not under the pictures. It says these dogs have until thursday 3/29/12. If you're looking from your phone you may have to refresh it. Mine wouldnt let me see it from my phone at first.

Don't need another dog right now. But my next one will be from a shelter. Lots of nice dogs to be had.

Well frick that shelter. My lab got out one night, and they picked him up. I went up there to pick him up, and they charged me 130 bucks. Tacked on an extra 60 bucks because "he was considered a threat, and he snapped at a kid". This dog has been raised around a baby, and would cower down if it thought it knicked your hand while eating out of it. Most genial dog ive ever owned. I tried to bargain with the woman, telling her it was a fluke incident, and she gave me this spill about if I loved my animal, i wouldnt allow it to get loose. Needless to say, i made a scene, paid my money and probably got put on a list at the front desk

I may piss someone off saying this but most of the people I've delt with at animal shelters were the bleeding heart Liberal type.

there's at least 5 chicks that post incessantly about this on facebook, "they're going to kill these dogs in 5 minutes unless you go adopt them..." I've got an 11 y/o dog and I take care of him. Can't be responsible for all the idiots out there who abandon their dogs and responsibilities. If you feel so strongly about the dog that you need to post on a message board, why don't you go adopt the dog?

Never been to one and don't intend on ever going. Can't deal with those people. My dog cowers when I yell at him so I much have abused him

GREAT idea, I NEVER would have thought of that. Oh no wait... I did actually. Turns out since I already have three dogs, live with the parents who said absolutely no more, and spend most of my time commuting I can't really take on that responsibility. If I could save them all, I would in a heartbeat. But since I can't, why not spread the word so maybe someone may see it and save one. Which btw has happened the last several times I've done this.

Also since you feel the need to be such a d-bag to someone trying to do something good why don't you just GTFO.

We had to go get my old yellow lab out of one once. He was picked up for being implicated in the murder of a chihuahua in the back of the neighborhood somewhere. They ended up just blaming it on the black lab they picked up in the vicinity at the same time.

Cost us $70 or so I think to get him out. This was after we had to call around to a bunch of people to find him, one of the neighbors told us about the pound picking him up, otherwise we would have never known and just thought he ran off somewhere. He had been there like a week, IIRC they were close to putting him down when we found out he was there. Bastards.

My dog has two tags riveted to his collar with my ol man's address and both of our phone numbers. If i ever find out that hoss has been there for a week and I haven't been contacted then all hell will break loose.

I still have to get one made for my pup. She's growing so damn fast though that i'll have to get a new one every month.

Bitch killed a chicken yesterday.

figures. $10 says the 3 dogs stay with the 'rents when you move to an apartment. Then you'll have room for that next shelter puppy you see. win-win.

Ours never had a tag on his collar...maybe that had something to do with it

The next one definitely will.

That incident was the beginning of the end for ol' Butter. Had to keep ol boy locked up after that, cause our fence was gone and he'd always end up running off to go find some strange.

I love cats!! I love everyone one of them. I love them so much I wish I could pet them all. I think about poor cats that don't have a home, and it just makes me cry. Cats cats CATS!!
