Boyd went to the sideline with blood on the front of his shirt late in the game. Diskerud said both he and Adu were bitten and showed reporters marks as proof.

So punched and apparently bitten also. Does CONCACAF do anything about this? Or will these dirty arse holes get away with all of it? I don't even know what they even can do to be honest. Does this kind of thing usually go unpunished in our conference?

Abandon the match and award USA a 3-0 victory.

Mixx will get a post-match red card for dissent.

Seriously though. What kind of realistic repercussions are likely to happen for this? They can't possibly just let this shite fly can they?

I didn't get to catch much of the game but this ref needs to be banned. US Soccer should request a ref from Europe for all future matches.

We should put a balaclava on Michael Bradley and sit him on the bench for youth-level matches with CONCACAF opponents. That referee would still be standing there, waiting for Michael Bradley to finish screaming at him

If true, El Salvador needs to be stricken from the tournament.

Olympic committee could step in, yes? Not so much award the US the game, but keep those bastards from playing anymore.

I think a disqualification would be merited. At the very least they should be intelligible for the next Olympics. There was video evidence of Boyd being punched so I would think a year long FIFA suspension for that player. Hopefully the referee will not get another concacaf game but unfortunately bad refs are the norm in our region.

At the very least we can petition to not have this ref work our games in the future right?

You would think that would be fair, but considering its the USA, and CONCACAF, they'll probably find a way to penalize us for complaining.

Right. There's no way Jorge Larrionda will ever ref another one of our games.

Also, Joao Pinto was suspended for six months for punching a ref who had issued him a red card. It's hard to imagine any act on the field warranting a longer punishment than that.

Sorry, I'm still too angry about the loss to be rational

Screw precedent. We're rewriting the books on this one.

But seriously, did that punch disqualify a team from advancing to the Olympics? Stage seems a little bigger for this (although I have to admit I'm not familiar with the situation you're speaking of).

Here's a video of his original red card (WC 2002 vs South Korea). He punched the ref off the field. It was significant because South Korea went on to win the game, giving us second place in our group.
