I will let you know when it drops, a good north wind for a day or two will drop it 3 feet. The problem with this recent front was that we had a southeast wind for two days blowing in and then all the water from the rain without a strong north wind to blow it out...

From Liviston Sheriff Facebook.

Waterways south of I-12 have been closed to recreation boat traffic starting at noon today until 12:00pm on Sunday March 26, 2012. This is due to the heavy rainfall and rising waters.

Definitely not good when the water is that high. We're running out of time too, April is approaching

Waterways are now closed till Monday at noon

Per OEP the Livingston Parish waterways south of the interstate will be closed to recreational boat traffic until 12 PM Monday, March 26, 2012. There was a mix-up with the news stating Sunday but we confirmed Monday with OEP this morning. If any questions call them at 686-3066.
