With Hatcher and Francois running a near 5-second 40 yd-dash, is there any doubt that the front 7 will be overall faster in '12 than it was in '11?
It's also surprising the Baker ran a 4.88 at the combine.

With the exception of Claiborne/Simon and possibly Taylor/Loston, the defense will be as fast or faster at every position on defense.

These numbers can't be right.

Kendrick Adams was only 6-1 and3/4?

I thought he was 6-4 or 6-5.

Linebacking corps has been average for several years, and was straight up terrible last year

if those guys ran much slower than what you thought they'd run, what makes you think the guys taking over for em won't as well?

Our linebackers weren't very good last year. They benefitted greatly from good players around them especially on the defensive line. I knew if Hatcher and Francois could play then a freshman could come in and play at linebacker. I mentioned Feist in October as a possibility. Baker and Minter (at year's end) did OK but Hatcher and Francois were not very good at any point and time. Neither were SEC linebackers.

Which was my point, except in more words.

"not very good" is not "terrible"

I believe Hatchers 40-time. It shows at the 8:00 mark. This.

Good catch. Optimism I guess.

But really, did you see two converted safeties running an o-line-like 40 time?
