#1 Pimanyoli's

The rest... whatever...

If Kicker's BBQ truck was still in town I'd have them #2.

That's how I feel about it. The pulled pork has been top notch a few times, but the brisket is very inconsistent. Chicken was just average, but the sides are pretty good

Had grits and grillades (not on a bun) from bushwood this past saturday morning. It was delicious. As for the rest of their menu, I have no clue.

I'm a fan of Sonny's because they don't slather everything with BBQ sauce. You do it yourself, with your choice of sauce.

Just my humble opinion.

1. Pimanyoli's
Tightly managed, owner on site watching the product quality carefully.

2. Sucker's
Been once, I was impressed with the pulled pork, bold flavors.

Podnuh's was so bad a few years ago I can't get over the aversion to try it again. Voodoo and Sonny's are chains that don't take chances, they want the broadest appeal possible. Voodoo's serving sizes are a joke sometimes, some of the sides are suitable for a wedding reception tray.

Pimanyoli's and Sweet's are the only ones above average, simply because they're the only ones that seem to be "smoked"

What was the name of that place in Baton Rouge that was owned by a lesbian couple? I think that it was way down on South Halls Ferry Rd (sp). That place was good. It closed because the couple broke up.
