Have you read the rulings issued by the league? Goodell basically suspended Greg for a year and will reinstate him next year if he "cooperates" as bountygate continues. It's Goodell's attempt at disuading Payton and the saints from contesting his ruling. He could have suspended him forever, 2 years, 3 years, etc. The indefinite part is a ruse. What other reason is there to "revisit" it next year? If Greg is away from football, what could he possibly do right or wrong in the next 12 months to influence the decision to reinstate him next year?. Answer: nothing. It is simply a carrot at the end of a stick intended to scare the saints and Sean Payton. Total b.s.

Scare them from doing what? Why would the saints be afraid of more damage done my Williams?

If you challenge this in court, Greg will be witness numero uno for the NFL...that's how. Ask yourself the question no one is asking. Why is Williams' suspension indefinite with a reevaluation next year based on his cooperation? What more do they need from him? Nothing. All players and coaches have been identified.

An impeachable one.

I agree the NFL is basically telling all these guys to shut the F up and take your punishment. If you get mouthy and expose other teams you've worked for you'll never work in the NFL again! When the players get punished it will be a free for all!

The NFL is no doubt holding a carrot in front of Gregg Williams. If he disagrees with Goodell and his ruling, he will have no chance of coaching in the NFL. None of the parties can really disagee with Goodell without the fear of more punishment.

The same thing was tried here but Mr. Simms would have none of it. Who is our Slade?
