The Vikings were considered by many to be locked in
on USC OT Matt Kalil, but are now talking up LSU's Morris Claiborne.

Don't think either is bad for them. They need help in many places

I hope not. I hate the Vikings. It'd kill me to have to root for them.

If you are rooting for a team just because an LSU player is on it, you like a whole lot of teams.

I'll root for a great career for Claiborne no matter where he goes (and I couldn't care less where), but he isn't going to my the Saints so I won't root for his team.

I don't go out of my way, but if I'm watching a game and there's a starting LSU player, and that game has no bearing on the Saints' playoff chances, I'm going to pick the team with the LSU starting player. Say Matt Flynn in Seattle playing the Texans in September.

The Lineman will always win out in the draft rooms

It would be pretty cool if he went to Tampa with Cooper though

Yeah, Hulklogan, that comment makes little sense.

They've been on Kalil forever. If they're talking up Mo right now, it's to possibly make the Bucs or someone else bite on a trade up if they want Mo more than anyone.

I would take Kalil if I were them.

Dude after living in LC for most of my life I had to move to the Seattle area for work and believe me, it's really really really hard to like the Seahawks. Why matt? Why the Seahawks?

It's not just the Seahawks. I think most people who are fans of one team, then move to an area where there are lots and lots of rabid fans from another team, feel that way. I am a Cowboys fan and I really dislike the Saints from living in south Louisiana for several years, just because so many of my friends were so damn obnoxious about them.

I'd take claiborne. minn. plays green bay, detroit, chicago all twice. they need corners and no left tackle is gonna help ponder. ponder ain't that good.

other words, should you try and slow down the other teams in division or try and out score them. can't out score them with ponder. take claiborne.

Minnesota is a running team. They have the best RB in football. Kalil would be a huge upgrade in their run blocking.

Playing GB and Detroit and Chicago twice each also means having to block Matthews, Avril and Peppers six times a year. Ponder's job right now is not to screw things up too terribly, but either way having a stud LT to keep the league's best pass rushers away sure won't hurt him.

I love Claiborne because he's a Tiger, but I'm also not 100% sold that he is a lockdown #1 corner. Kalil is even more "can't-miss" than Luck IMO.
