he's gotten two runners thrown out and almost a third as he stopped them half way to home when he mistakenly told them to go.

also idk if he told jacoby to bunt but that was a terrible idea. up three no oits guy already in scoring position and jones is heating up at the plate. awful idea

doubtful. as good as we were in the gorilla ball era, we struck out a ton. in 1997 we struck out 585 times, as opposed to 335 last year. we only have 118 this year 1/3 of the way through the season

He really needs to not be coaching 3rd, but I doubt Mainieri would be more than a tad better.

We hit 188 homeruns, I think folks will let things slide.
Does anyone know if Mainieri acknowledges that there is an issue with dumb baserunning mistakes? For crying out loud, I understand being aggressive, but most of the time this team is damn reckless.

Dumb. When you are hitting HRs, it doesnt matter how many K's you get, cause you are still winning games and scoring runs.
This years team has had trouble scoring runs, especially on Sundays, and needs to get a better hitting coach.

Boys, if you don't hit for power and you k a lot, you BETTER be aggressive on the bases. 3B coaches who don't get players thrown out aren't doing their job well.

Did DiNardo acknowledge there was a problem with the defense under Tepper? No, he defended ole Lou until the very end and instead of making a much needed change, he was stubborn, remained steadfast and went down with ship.
Let's hope this doesn't happen with the baseball program.

I guess some of you rubes didn't get that I was being facetious.....so let me explain, if this team did in fact hit for power, I don't think folks would mind the strike outs, but strike outs with an already punch less lineup is just bad.
