Places to eat in New Iberia
Posted by littlemslouie on 3/20/12 at 11:44 am00
I am making an overnight work trip to New Iberia in the next couple of weeks. Can anyone recommend a good place to eat that's not too highly priced?

if you have a car, its probably worth the 10-15 mile drive up to youngsville or broussard. i know you want cheap, but any other specifications?
in New Iberia, clementine's is good, but im told its pricey. also, there is a decent sushi place in the little downtown area but i cant recall the name. and none of this is first hand knowledge.

For lunch, I think Victor's Cafeteria is a neat place.
For dinner offerings, you'd probably be best served making the drive into Lafayette.

Staye there 1 night 2 weeks ago.....
For lunch? Bon Creole
For dinner? If its late n the week Clementines, is good. Was a monday when I stayed and they were closed. I ended up eating sushi at Tokyo (folks n Laffy ppened one n NI).
Food options are miserable. U will be better suited eating n Laffy - which I will do next time.

Bo Jangles. Its not bad at all.
Legnon's Boucharie has outstanding boudin and other cajun sausage/meats.
I dont know anything else about dining in the town though. Shadows on the Teche is probably the best plantation tour in the state, however.

I worked down there last year 2 days a week and ate at the following: Boiling Point, Canes, Subway, Victors Cafeteria, and Bojangles.
I really like Victors and Boiling Point, thought Bojangles was horrendous.
Also went to the original Landrys once, and was pretty unimpressed.....the buffet looked disgusting.

I didnt read it either, but go to the Boiling Point on 90 and get you some boiled something or others. Or Landry's in the Berry.

This!
The sushi place mentioned downtown is Bojangles.
Clementines and Bojangles is pretty expensive, but the food is worth it.

quote:This. Too many similar places in Laffy such as Dwights, crawfish time, gator cove, or in Abbeville, Shucks, the Patio, etc, etc, etc. Or Fins house - he boils crawfish every weekend.
or is it just the best option in new iberia
