No idea. Did not take long, but we did it when it was hot. I needed water. Caught some fish where one of the upland creeks met the bayou.

There a good spot where there is a nice straight of way and the water gets real clear when it hasnt rained. Beautiful little spot. Shot a fine turkey off the creek that runs in right there too. 11 1/4 " beard. It was dragging the ground.

I'll put this in here since this is a Louisiana themed thread.

Hiked the Clark Creek trail yesterday. It was tougher than I thought. Trail was in good shape and dry.

If you do the primative trail and a few side hikes to some of the falls not on the main trail it will be a little over 5 miles. Worth the trip as its less than an hour from Baton Rouge. I'll post some pics tomorrow I'm at work right now.

My camel back only holds 1.5liters and I ran out of water with about a mile to go. So plan accordingly. Plenty of fresh creek water available if you have a filter with you, which I did not.

Eta- took me 3.5hours to finish

Go here and download the map before you go. No maps available at trailhead. Also bring $3 for parking. All I had was a $10 so I made a donation.

I can't wait for school to end! I hope to hike both Clark Creek and The Wild Azalea at the end of May.

Planning on the wild azalea sometime soon.

Clark creek is worth going. Where else will you see waterfalls close to Baton Rouge.
