From what I heard he asked for the 1 year deal...He wanted 1 year to prove himself back from injury and then sign a big contract

I'm more intrigued by the Chad Jones story this year but good luck to all our former tigers

That's pretty amazing since the Saints only scored 2 offensive touchdowns. BTW Landry had 12 solo tackles, a sack and 3 passes defended that day.

Exactly. That saints game is complete myth on here. Like Flynn being a great qb while at LSU. Just not true.

Couldn't have been a coordinator who wouldn't adjust out of single deep coverage when he saw the Saints forcing Landry into making a hi-low coverage choice, eh?

Landry honestly had no correct moves in that game. Brees just read him and threw intermediate on crossing routes or went deep/vertical middle off of Landry's read.

It's his job in the scheme and he did it. Landry's team wasn't hurt and didn't lose due to poor play. They lost because of complete lack of adjustment and acute ineptitude from a schematic standpoint.

The scheme gave Landry no ability to disguise coverage Pre-snap, and no adjustments were made to coverage responsibilities in the Secondary.

Brees is too good to run Mickey Mouse BS coverage at. But that's what the Skins did.

The problem is that first impressions on this board cannot be changed. Landry got beat in coverage a lot early in his career while playing out of position in a scheme that did not suit him, therefore he sucks. He is a hard-hitting safety by reputation who got run over by Brandon Jacobs six years ago (who weighed probably 50 more pounds), therefore he is all flash, no substance. And no amount of improvement or subsequent great play will change that for folks around here.

Both Louisiana products - LL was injured during that matchup. They played again and LL punked BJ's. I'd say they are even.

This is true. He got him more than once on the field and in the mini scuffle out of bounds.
