Anybody know a site or store, that sells .40sw on the cheaper side. Just picked up a s&w sigma this past weekend and was looking to put some rounds through it, but I didnt feel like throwing 40 cents of lead every shot if there was something cheaper around

That's why I don't own a .40. There is no "cheap" ammo.

Academy sells 100 rounds of Winchester White Box ammo in .40 for $32.99.

It's dirty, but is real brass and reliable.

Ya after playing with it this past weekend and dry firing. I realized that two stage trigger isn't fun. Probably gonna look to bringing it to Hebert's to see if they can get a metal trigger put in and get it reduced to hopefully around 5 lbs. Supposedly the Sigma starts at around 8-12 lbs. Already looking for my next piece, looking at H&Ks for a graduation buy

I have the same gun and want to trade for a different trigger and 9mm for cheaper ammo.

Every now and then, bayoushooter has some guys looking for a Sigma if you are looking to sell it.

ummm... i seriously doubt you can do that.

good luck trying to run the cheapest ammo known to man through a Stigma. i've got a .40 that stays in my truck. i'll shoot it every once in a while when we go out to sherburne and it wont get through a whole mag unless im shooting something halfway decent through it.

As long its a two-stage, I don't think it will matter as far as legal purposes go, the polymer trigger just doesn't feel right. I've read after around a 100 rounds the trigger pull will smooth out.

you can replace the springs and make the trigger alot smoother and easier to pull. if you walk in hebert's and ask them to put a metal trigger on a Sigma they are going to laugh you out of there probably.

Why is that? This is my first rodeo.

I would like to put new springs in it though.

It just isnt the type of gun you go customizing. that's what 1911's are for. Almost all polymer pistols are going to have a polymer 2-stage trigger of some sort. Google "sigma trigger job" and you should find everything you need. i've got a sigma with prob 1000 rounds through it and the trigger is fine for me. It'll break in some. It isnt on the same planet as a trigger on say, a Sig 226 but it didnt cost $900 either.

Wouldn't count on that.

As has been posted, Glocks and 1911's offer a lot of options for a lighter trigger. You can get the Glock trigger pull down to 2 pounds or up to 11 or 12.
