Why don't we just take out Saudi Arabia?

Aren't the Sauds the worst of all ME's? Seems that all terrorist groups are tied to Saudi Arabia more than Afghanistan,Pakistan,Iraq or Iran.

They have the worst barbarism in their laws against women and the most intolerant to other religions.

So why is there no cry to bomb or reform them?

just this morning:

quote:

The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia has said that all churches in the Arabian Peninsula must be destroyed. The statement prompted anger and dismay from Christians throughout the Middle East.
The Grand Mufti, who is the highest official of religious law in Saudi Arabia, as well as the head of the Supreme Council of Islamic Scholars, cited the Prophet Mohammed, who said the Arabian Peninsula is to exist under only one religion.

Why are US Officials and Media so hypocritical?
I don't see covered injustices that occur in SA, but if something happens in another ME country, it's "Breaking News"

Do you hear about this stuff on your News...why? Why would the MEDIA not cover Great News Stories?

so we don't just 2 shits about their peoples "freedom". But when the same excuse of "freedom" is used as justification in warring with another...you buy it?

I never said I agreed with it. I'm just saying why no one in DC has a problem with SA.

The United States has announced that it will sell nearly $30 billion worth of F-15SA fighter aircraft as well as munitions, spare parts, training, maintenance, and logistics to Saudi Arabia. “This agreement,” said U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Andrew Shapiro, “serves to reinforce the strong enduring relationship between the United States and Saudi Arabia. It demonstrates the U.S. commitment to a strong Saudi defense capability as a key component to regional security.”

Because Saudi is on our team.

Any country on our team can get away with whatever.

Not on our team? Then we scream about humanitarian violations and government repression.

Not to mention SA is the 2nd largest oil producer, and agrees to only sell oil in USD, which allows our money printing ponzi to continue.
That's the bottom line.

Google 'petrodollar'

The minute oil starts being traded, en masse, in things other than FRN's, the value of our currency will begin accelerating toward the toilet rapidly; contrasting with its current around the bowl status.

I'm not gonna write a term paper here on SA but they are the least of our worries. They BANNED OBL from their country. That's why he went to Africa and then Afghanistan.

SA has been very helpful with stabilizing oil prices for the last 40 years against the wishes of more radical OPEC members.

The royal family is extremely large (given four wives each) and their children have generally been educated at US colleges and understand western culture.

SA was extremely helpful during Gulf War I. At the expense of criticism from the general Muslim world. In fact, some of the fighter pilots in the SA air force were members of the royal family.

If you read OBL's diatribes he HATED Saudi Arabia.

wrong. actually we buy less from them now than we did 5 years ago. But we do still buy and that is a problem.

ETA: airspace? yes, we have used that before.

Please go look at a map and see how wide the Gulf iws in fact. The Shia and Sunni haven't been friends for over a thousand years. Thirty years ago Carter declared the Gulf to be in the nations interests.

So yes? Hahaha. I'm sure if SA started using anything other than the USD for oil, we would "discover" something that we have to go to war about.

True. But at the time they were supplying so many western nations with oil that they didn't have too much worry about someone having their back.

YEESS! let's steal their oil! Let's live up to the war for oil meme! Let's rule them militarily and politically like a real classic empire!

They should be put on the list of sponsors of terror though.
