And The Worst Player In The Upcoming NFL Draft Is...
Former LSU QB Jordan Jefferson! Yay!
To explain: Jefferson was rated 315th out of 315 players going into the NFL Combine by NFL.com, the Shreveport Times points out.
Everyone who watched college football last year knows that Jefferson had no business even being invited to the combine.
He was a decent college QB with some athleticism, but lacks pretty much everything you need to succeed as an NFL QB.
NFL.com agrees. Here's their scouting report on him:
Jefferson has serious mechanical issues that effect his play. He locks out his front leg when stepping into the ball, and the follow through that results from this stiff motion causes him to have an inconsistent release point that makes it very difficult to make quick, accurate throws in the short game. When in a two-minute offense or under pressure late in a game, Jefferson uses poor judgment and is ripe for turnovers. He lacks awareness in the pocket and tries to rely on his scrambling ability too heavily, causing him to take bad sacks. There are many fundamental elements of Jefferson's game that need work before he would be ready to run an NFL offense.

Must suck for the UDFA's who aren't ranked. Those undrafted guys who'll make NFL rosters must really suck. 316 and below please give up and shoot yourselves.

I love this comment.

lsu772 on Mar 1, 10:03 PM said: This may just be the most misleading articles I've ever read. Jordan Jefferson exhibited extraordinary athletic ability throughout his career, and is actually a solid passer and runner. LSU's offensive line this season stood no chance against the Alabama pass rush and Jefferson made most of his throws in the national championship under pressure. And speaking of pressure, he led the tigers to 2 last minute victories in the 2010 season. (the nail biters against Florida and Tennessee). He has at times demonstrated tremendous accuracy while throwing out of the pocket, and is ranked so low because of the fact that he only played half a season, and in that time he threw 2 interceptions and only 1 in the regular season. While his trouble with the law may have cost him most of his senior season, many believe he is athletic enough to be converted to wide receiver, and given his physical abilities that may be where he belongs in the NFL. However, in the era of Cam, Vick, and RG3, teams are beginning to look more to dual threat quarterbacks who can make a defensive coordinator think twice before blitzing up the middle. His running style has often been more comparable to the likes of Cam Newton, with many of his runs coming up the middle ending in relatively big hits. Jefferson has showed sparks NFL worth talent at times, and particularly when the defense he was playing against wasn't Alabama's. Jefferson completed all of passes in the first half but one in the national championship, and he will be great for any team that is looking for a good dual threat quarterback in 2012.

Please let it go. JJ will always be a Tiger..I don't understand some of you who is throwing this man to the curb. He played for us and he brought us plenty victories. Have some respect for the man. Just because he sucked in probably the biggest game of his life, doesn't mean u can throw him to the curb.
You were probably all over his nuts after his performance against Miami, bama in 2010, etc. but are ready to down him after a bad game.
Let it rest!!
Signed,
A Loyal LSU Fan

Hey idiot, get a clue. he is not even going to be drafted but will likely be a FA signing, which is more than one could say for your sorry, pathetic arse.
