Peyton has too many ties to Indy so I doubt he picks the Titans.

What happened to 1st round pick Jake Locker?

Not true at all. Where do you live? Dyersburg?

I hate the VOLS, but I see clearly they are the states largest fan base.

nashville...i never said the vols werent the largest fanbase in the state...but if you add in all of the georgia, auburn, bama, kentucky, lsu, vandy, arkansas, florida, etc. that hate the vols they are way out numbered here. its even worse in memphis where the rebels have a ton of fans.

I hate alabama but Demeko Ryans is my favorite texan.

So I doubt signing Payton manning is going to turn off many Titens/ uga fans

Lots of Butthurt coming from Houston fans. Guess they still hate Bud Adams and everything he does.

Yes, Adams is getting old as shite and as said several times that he really wants a Super Bowl before he dies. But, regardless, this is a genius move if they can pull it off. The amount of money that the Titans will reap from this for years and years to come is what makes it brilliant. The Titans sign Peyton and all the sudden, one of the smaller market teams in the league is on ESPN damn near every day until the season starts.

Adams doing work for my team

do you think it's a coincidence that in the entire history of the NFL, Bud Adams is the only one to try to pull some shite like this? He's a crook, always has been, always will be.

How bout an avi picture bet: if Peyton ends up in TN, you can pick my avi pic for a month (within the rules of the site). If not, I pick yours.

Jake Locker has looked like he has some good potential in the few opportunities he has had. But, what better scenario could he want as a young QB? Sit behind Manning for 2-4 years and learn everything you can.

As to who Manning would throw to, just look at Hasselbeck's stats last year. They weren't terrible and he had some very good games. As much as Manning loves the TE, Jared Cook could absolutely blow up.

learn your NFL history. You sound retarded.

Robert Irsay wants his place on the hated/crooked owners podium. Now, THAT is a coincidence.

This kind of deal was not unheard of in the old days. Don Shula was given a small piece of the Dolphins to leave the Balt Colts (he later sold his share back to Miami owner Joe Robbie).

However I didnt think this sort of thing was legal w/ current NFL rules.

ok, let me rephrase since I'm not 45 and I really only know the NFL I've lived through and the blatant history:

Do you think it's a coincidence that Dud Adams is the first person to try this shite in 30 years?

I don't like that this is possible at all, sets a very shitty precedent for doing this for other stars.

The Titans are a shitty, shitty franchise. This would be pretty funny to watch. They have zero fans or presence in the state, maybe this would change that for a year or two.

The Titans are not a "shitty shitty franchise". They have sold out every game since 1999 and have been legitimate contenders a handful of years.

also just curious, if this happens would you at least temporally be a Titans fan?

shitty franchise? theyve been a top 10 franchise since moving to tennessee, but the last few years have sucked. theres tons of titans fans all over middle tennessee/ northern alabama. they just havent had a reason to come out as much. i remember coming down to louisiana and not seeing any saints stuff in the early 2000s. now its freaking everywhere.

it is sad that in your own home state theres almost more bama fans in the largest city than vol fans now. talk about pathetic.
