New Last Airbender cartoon gets name change and release date.

They dropped "The Last Airbender" part

I loved the original series. I thought it was awesome start to finish. Hope this installment can live up to it. Most importantly is a good replacement of a Sokka type character. He was hilarious and the needed balance to seriousness of Aang and Katara.

This is going to be a more grown up version of Avatar. Think aimed at young teens versus 8-9 year olds. The animation looks very good. Too bad Aang is dead, but I'm sure they will show him a few times when she enters the avatar state, and his grandchildren supposedly play a pretty big role.

Think I'm really going to like the villain in this, certainly better than Ozai since he's apparently more out in the open and directly faces Korra before the final episode.
And thank god they got "The Last Airbender" out of the title. It would be the equivalent if JKR wrote a sequel to Harry Potter... that takes place like 20 years after Harry dies and its just his son and grandkids around and named it "Harry Potter" again. Just dumb and holding onto a brand title for the sake of stupidity.
