the pmac has been a library (with all due respect to libraries) for years now but i just can't see anyone getting hyped for next season other than the 11 maravich maniacs. i wasn't even very excited coming into this season and if nothing changes i'll be even more ambivalent heading into next season.

If Shane Hammink commits, you may see an influx of people who watched his dad play.

We need to add Hammink, Coleman and Pelle to this class.

that would perk me up a little but it'd just be the same old thing on the court. maybe if trent brings someone to the staff who can add some new ideas to the halfcourt, that would help.

I think it will be more optimistic than the beginning of the last two years

Depends on off season. If no players leave program and some solid recruits come in. I think interest will pick up. Young team returning with higher expectations than this year.

This is the biggest question.

We only had one guy who was worthy to see the court from the bench: Warren.

We need Hammink, Coleman and a big man; hopefully Pelle.

If we return all the starters and we get Morgan along with this trio and your front and backcourt are improved. The only issue is that we would be very thin down low.

It will be weak, but not at all-time low levels. However, we're splitting hairs literally over a couple hundred not thousands.

False.

It will be marginally better than last year early on due to higher expectations. ..and will increase over the year should a tournament spot become a realistic possibility.

I've been going to every game w/ my father since I was a kid in the late 80's, and although the PMAC was full every game then w/ the likes CJ and Shaq, it has been pretty inconsistent ever since. Livingstone, Henderson, and Ceasar brought some big crowds in, and we even filled it w/ Stro/Bright/Jabari and the Baby/Bass teams, but for the most part the PMAC stays around 1/3 full unless we're really good and or have someone w/ charisma. We win and it's full every time.

If we get Coleman and Pelle then I think there will be hype leading up to the season, creating some fan support. If we start winning a few then the fans will show back up.

The previous two years were absolutely miserable basketball, and this year was only slightly better. A good product will bring the fans.

If we start out flat I think it will get ugly for Trent. A lot of fans have given up on him and a lot more are riding the fence.

All depends on the recruiting class as previously stated.

False

In the past 2 seasons we went 22-40 and won 5 SEC games total.

This season we had a winning record and made the NIT.

Shouldn't be possible to have lower fan support than what we started this season with considering the results of the past two years opposed to this years results.

I think it'll start out with very low support until they get some quality wins to get fans excited again.

How can Trent recruit well, knowing that next season is most probably do or die? I'm pretty sure that any recruit that Trent is after is well aware that the fan base is not happy with Trent.

Does Alleva give Trent more than a 1 year contract extension as a vote of confidence?

True-Most LSU fans I know had lost all interest in the team this year. Next year will be worse.

When I got to LSU I would plan my studies around the games. This year I stopped doing that. If I had to study or take a test I just didn't go. I hope I am the only one who did this but who knows.
