How much will a slab for a 50'x100' metal building cost?

The building is a "quonset hut" style building so it needs a running 16"x16" footer around the the perimeter witha s" slab across the rest. Any idea at how much I'm looking at?

You will need roughly 81 yds of concrete. At approx. $105/yd, that's pushing $8500 just for concrete. That's based on a 4" slab and doesn't include rebar or dirt work.

But most of the slab will be indoors once the building is up.

I'm plan on buying the anchor bolts and putting them in myself after the slab is poured, but I'm looking for a approximate turnkey price for the whole slab with framing and everything else (not dirt pad). Thanks.

Where are you located? My company specializes in metal buildings, selling, erecting, and completion. Slab design will be based on the required wind load for your building and the soils you have. This is not something you can do alone if you have no experience in doing so. You will also need local permitting and you will not get insurance on the added dwelling without the proper design, permitting, and inspections.

My guess is ~$17k on the slab w/footings...

Variable range is way too broad. How many and what size re-steel are you looking at- what and qty of layout pattern? What kind of door inserts? Are there no interior grade beams?

Been a while but you are looking @ $250/finisher, and a slab that size would require at least 10 finishers. That price excludes ins. OH&P. Forming Price could range anywhere from 1.50-2.75 per foot. Also need to figure a pump truck @ $2,500

I'm somewhere around $21K without subs profit.

What is the frame spacing? That 16"x16" grade beam sounds questionable.

Thanks for all of the help. The building itself came with very specific plans. And there are no beams at all, the structure is the support system (unlike most metal buildings) The concrete guy came by today and is getting back with a quote, I was just wondering what the ball park would be. I had 25k in my head, so 21k sounds good to me. Do you really thing we'll need a pump truck when they can drive the trucks right next to the 50' wide form? Surely they can get 20' out from the truck?

Cast-in-place anchors are much better at uplift resistance than post-installed anchors. I'm not saying post-installed anchors can't work, but they better be installed correctly. It is pretty easy for someone to screw up an epoxy anchor.

Went past my pay grade on that one. From how I'm reading it, the building calls for either a 16"x16" footer around the perimeter, or, in addition, you can slab in a floor (4" or 6") across it.

Just wondering why is this your plan? I would not recommend this route. FYI, the finisher will put them in for you while pouring the slab.

Not sure where you are located, but no way in hell you are going to get a finishing crew to tailgate a slab of those dimensions.

65 cy @ $112.20 = $7,293 (3500 psi concrete w/ straight cement)
5000 sf @ $1.85 = $9,250 (form / finish labor)
5000 sf @ $1.50 = $7,500 (form materials)

$24,093 give or take

Disclaimer: 4" thick w/ wwm through the slab and (6)-#5 rebar in the footings. And there are certainly ways to trim costs, but you get what you pay for. Also that doesn't include a GC's markup. And let the form / finishers set the anchor bolts. It's not a big deal if the bolts are slightly off on a house, but you need to be exact if you're anchoring metal building columns to the slab.
